Lot Number:

Farmer Contract - Cooperative Coffees’ agreement to purchase green beans from our farmer
partners. Stipulates that coffee must first pass our sampling and quality analysis. It shows the Fair Trade
(FT) purchase price and certifies that the farmers meet the FT criteria as established by Fair Trade
Labeling Organization (FLO).

This lot is Fair Trade — but we had to buy from an importer instead of thru our usual co-op. This
happens when we run out of our original bean purchase, or if the co-op didn’t have enough orders to
purchase a whole container.

The upshot is we don’t have access to the Farmer Contract, Farmer Invoice and Farmer Bill of Lading
(we do confer with the importer’s Organic certifier to make sure that they have indeed inspected those
documents).

This applies to documents 1, 2 & 3. Just scroll down to follow the rest of the document trail.

Farmer Invoice - Shows name of the farmer cooperative, number of bags purchased and total U.S.
dollar amount to be paid.

Farmer Bill of Lading - Documents the original shipper of the coffee, who it is being shipped to,
weight of the coffee and U.S. destination port.

Organic Certificate - Documents the Organic Certification of farmer cooperative.

Larry's Beans Invoice - Cooperative Coffees invoice to Larry’s Beans for our portion of the
shipment (since Cooperative Coffees is a co-op, it’s like buying the coffee from ourselves).

Larry's Beans Bill of Lading - Shows the truck line used to deliver the coffee to our
warehouse.
