Larry’s Beans, a North Carolina-based 100% Fair Trade Coffee roaster and Fair Trade Federation Member, is proud to release a CD of songs recorded by talented Nicaraguan musicians who also happen to be talented Nicaraguan Fair Trade farmers.
Called “Musicians, Poets & Farmers,” Larry’s Beans considers the CD another step in their mission to promote respectful, dignifying relationships between the developing world and the West.
“Music is a universal language,” says Larry, “when I first heard these musicians in my travels through Nicaragua, I knew it would make an impact if I could get their music out there.” All wholesale profits from the CD will be dispersed through CAFENICA,” an umbrella organization, representing over 7,000 Nicaraguan Fair Trade farmers.
